Loosened from the mud, I find myself floating in a world of possibility.

So can you.

Still working on the self portraits.  I had to borrow D's camera to try this one out.  It needs work.  Unfortunately I didn't figure out this trick until late this evening.  If I had realized before I could have spent the weekend working on it.

Now that I'm nearly two months into this 365 project, maybe I should think more about some goals. Self portraits, perhaps. Maybe think about a series.

See. This is how my projects happen. I jump in, then later think about what it all means and if it means anything. So in that sense a 365 project is good for me, gives me plenty of time to sort it out.  This might not be the most productive way to go about it, but with my time limitations and tendency to wander, go where the river takes me, it's the only way for me to be right now.

I learned something about myself here.

Another lesson from this project is how much is revealed about myself.  Of course there are times when I take a photo just to get one for the project.  Then there are times where I try to set up a shot.  And that totally gives away things about myself.

Confessions, perhaps.  Like this...

Food and drink photography is not my strong suit.  The martini was, however, did the trick just fine.

  2. I'm starting to have fun with these photos, too! I read your comment first thing this morning (well first thing after dropping the Bud off at preschool) and it has filled me with such love and joy! Thanks!

  3. I think that's a beautiful self-portrait! And I agree about needing time to find direction with projects - you can't rush evolution. (If I had a martini I'd toast our shared wandering natures right now. *Clink*)
