Loosened from the mud, I find myself floating in a world of possibility.

So can you.

catching up with myself

It's been a busy few weeks and I have some catching up to do with the Lotus 365 project.  In the busy-ness of the last two weeks I managed to get some really fun and amazing photo days.  So while I did not stick to the plan of taking one photo a day, I did manage to get a series of photos that will sustain this project.  This the choice that I made early on - I would not chide myself for not keeping up, I will relish the quality of photos that come to me even if they happen only three out of the seven days of the week.

I've been thinking a lot about time management.  So many people I encounter these days are busy.  What's with that?  Are we all busier?  Are we are relishing the amount of activity in our lives?  I don't like it when I ask about someone's day and their response is "I'm busy."  Well we are all busy, please tell me something good that happened in that day, or tell me how you are feeling.  Lately I've been making a point to tell people about my excellent time management skills.  I am busy, but I still am finding ways to pull moments for myself and my family.

I have taken on a teaching job.  It is a commitment that only requires my time and energy for one day each month for three months (not including lesson plan prep).  While I am excited about this development in my life, unfortunately those three days that span three months also happen to occur on the same days as the biggest events of the year for the Co-op.  It is a necessity for me to build my time management skills and I love the challenge.  I will also be taking on more responsibility with the Co-op's Board of Directors.  It's good that I strengthen my ability to manage my time now before the pressures build.

This summer was very good for me and Autumn is off to an excellent start!  Autumn is my favorite time of year to capture photos.  So while catch-up can seem tedious, it actually something that I am enjoying on this rainy October afternoon.
