swiftly melting snow

The snow is here!  But it will melt by the end of the day, in fact much of it is gone now.  I hadn't anticipated the excitement I felt this morning.  I always have mixed emotions about the first snowfall.  Little Lotus Bud was extremely excited and her excitement was contagious.  The drive to preschool was beautiful and I rushed back in order to capture a glimpse of it in the trees.  Yet no other photo seemed as good as this flamingo, a stark contrast to the snow.  I love the drop of water hanging from it's beak.

Bring it on.  I'm ready now.
