The Buddha Project
Years ago I started make concrete garden ornaments. That was fun and a bit challenging. Unfortunately I have not been able to continue making these since having a child. Perhaps I have enough of them sitting around. It might have been a good time to let it rest.
But I had this nagging feeling that I could be doing more with these concrete heads. I decided to drag them along with us on our roadtrips and photograph them in different locations.
Here are a few images from our last trip to Moab, Utah.
I don't know yet what this project means to me. But it does give my photography a sense of purpose. Over the next few weeks, I'll share a few more. I did take one of these heads to Mount Rushmore, but that's a story for another time.
