Loosened from the mud, I find myself floating in a world of possibility.

So can you.

Jeep drive

(215)

A couple weekends ago, we returned from our woodland retreat to the city because of rain. We then made a pact that we would not let the rain drive us away again. So this weekend with the clouds hanging ominously over the region, we piled into the Jeep and took off for a drive in the woods.

When the rain was pouring out of the sky and flooding the road, my tummy got knotted with a bit of anxiety. Also because we were following the storm. But soon that cleared up and we headed off the main road to our favorite berry patch which we hadn't seen in over 5 years but, as it turns out, all the patches are gone due to the county mowing the sides of the road.

But that's OK because we got "outside" in the rain and we stayed in the area. We splashed through huge puddles and kept on the lookout for bear and deer. Later the clouds cleared up and we spent a somewhat dry/somewhat soggy evening by the fire.
