off the grid
(216)
I love that our Jeep drive in the woods takes off the grid and that we turn off the grid in an area that has tons of power lines.
They are a bit eerie and monstrous in the misty rain.
But soon the skies cleared and we were left with puddles to splash through.
It's been a while since we've driven through this area. Fields have grown in, areas that have been selectively logged have grown out, berry patches have disappeared. In 2009 I wondered how many years it would take for the trees to grow back and now I know. Five years later everything looked different yet all was the same.
