summertime fun in the water

I've said this before and I'll say it again: I love taking photos with water! Although I have also admit that the lazy afternoons on the boat have lost their magic. Which I hope means that we've gotten a lot of wonderful experiences in this summer and now we are ready to move on.

It could also be that the river has finally reached it's muck peak and I'm hesitant to wash in the water. For me trips to the river are all about washing up. It could also be  because the August sun is more than I can bear. All three of us are browned and we get a kick out of comparing our skin colors. Psst. I'm always the darkest and that is my right and glory.

I caught no fish this summer but this girl has had tons of fun. We haven't got her totally unafraid of the water but that will come. We've made some inroads with other boaters mostly because of our child but there is a ways to go.

Summer - I love your warmth and water fun, but I admit I'm ready to move onto the next season. Sorry. I had to say it.
