Taking a peek at this July photo and I immediately see the vast difference in the seasons.  I love the prickly, spiderweb-y look of these stems. I've been watching them all year.


That's it, folks. Our spectacular Midwest Autumn is swiftly coming to an end. I am grateful for the warmth of the first November weekend but I know it will not last much longer. I think I'm ready. Weekends out in the woods make me feel hardy and the first thing that needs to be done for the season change is some serious acclimation to the dropping temps. That and the search for all of our warm woolens and layers of fleece.
