Loosened from the mud, I find myself floating in a world of possibility.

So can you.

I went to the FStop photo group meeting tonight and when asked about my latest project I had trouble explaining this Buddha work. I left there feeling like a silly stay-at-home mom, rather than the awesome superhero photographer that I am.

I don't want to have to explain myself anymore. I just want to do.

  1. Why did you have trouble explaining it? Do you think it was the audience or perhaps that it was hard to get across what you are trying to achieve? I find that when it comes to actually explaining things I craft or create, I have trouble "packaging" the words I need to explain what I am feeling - what I am hoping to represent. Sometimes, I think it's a combo of the audience we approach as well as our messaging about something which we believe in but haven't formed the words around to explain yet. Sorry if that makes no sense - I just relate very much to this and I still ask myself why I have so much trouble even describing what my blog, for example, is to people who know nothing about me, it or have never seen my writing.

BTW - I love that you are doing a Buddha project. Go, you!

    1. Thanks for asking, Kiran. I haven't posted all the photos from this project yet and so I hadn't thought through what it means and this is why I had trouble explaining it. I should tell you that this photo group seems to be full of men who think a little too highly of themselves and their photography. His eyes seem to gloss over when I mentioned the blog (probably an expression you are familiar with). It was definitely an audience problem. Thanks for the support about the project! I'll be posting the photos soon and I do feel rather proud of them!

I blog because I believe words make worlds. Share with me your words so that I can better know your world.
