Loosened from the mud, I find myself floating in a world of possibility.

So can you.

September life

There is no doubt that our lives have changed. The Lotus Bud has started kindergarten and she's loving it. But we are all up early and in the middle of creating new rhythms and patterns to our mornings and dinner times - our time together as a family in and around the new life phases.

One thing that has remained the same is our weekends in the woods.

I think we hear coyotes. It's hard to tell. The people at the beginning the road, a ways from us, have dogs. Hunting dogs. Lots and lots of hunting dogs. Sometimes they start up a fury of barking. Other times they are utterly quiet listening to the same eerie howls coming fro the distant woods. The howls are at once distant and too close. The dogs are only up on a few weekends and easily dismissed.

It had been an unusual woodland weekend, perhaps something that should become more usual, frequent and regular. Why has it been unusual? There was off and on rain and so our usual activities were adjusted to accommodate the weather. And it was wonderful. Since we are months away from tick season, we decided to walk around the property.

Time seems to be speeding up. We are already in the middle of September and this is my first post of the month. The schedule adjustment, while coming along all right still needs attention. I have tons and tons of photos to share because Autumn is my favorite season!

There have been some warm days and many cool nights. Autumn should be at her best this year.

  1. I really envy you. That's so cool that you can spend your weekend in the forest connecting with nature. I proposed my colleagues from essay writing services in canada to go all together to the forest to find some mushrooms! Hope it will be as great as your vacation)
